I discovered the love of blogging and started with this passion at multiply in 2008, which is still active up to this time. As much as I loved blog hopping even then, I discovered Camille Prats' multiply page! I was so happy to have learned that it's truly hers and not just some fan who put it up for her, because everything that was posted are all hers. She blogged about her adventures and journey as a wife to her late husband (who was still alive when she was still actively blogging), a friend to her really close friends, a daughter to her mom and dad, a sister to her only lovable sister as she calls her and siblings, and a young mom to Nathan (her son) and some plugs for her shows. She blogged regularly then that I would always surf what's new with her and sometimes leave some comment on her photo albums. But since she got this project of "Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan", she eventually updated for some time and now totally have no time to blog I guess. Especially now that her husband died recently from cancer.
I love Camille Prats since G-MIK days, (my generation) which I would regularly watch back then, and I love her natural talent in acting! Not to mention her pretty face that still manage to admire her fans even though she gained a little weight.
And two things that I recently discovered more about her and made me admire her even more...
First: Is to see this strong Camille Prats who stands up and goes on with life even after losing her beloved husband. In her blogs at multiply, you can see how they adored each other and their only bundle of joy, Nathan. I saw this interview of her, at the wake of her husband when she said that she never cried in front of her hubby when the latter was truly depressed about his disease and was hopeless that he doubted to survive at all from the illness. Camille was there for him until his last moment. She said that it's the only way to help her husband, to be able to gain strength from her.
Second: Her passion of helping little kids by putting up a school for preschoolers called "Divine Angel Montessori". The director of the school is herself and she would visit and play with the kids there from time to time. This kind of Camille isn't known by the public and this is really admirable about her.
If you want to know Camille more and her personal life, her multiply site is open for all to see. Here's the link: http://camsprats.multiply.com/

hi rona! thanks for sharing this. i didn't know that camille's husband passed away, and to begin with, i didn't even know she was married. hehe! i'm so out of the Pinoy showbiz loop na talaga. anyway, i searched for her story online and medyo devastating nga kasi bata pa sila pareho. how long were they married? the good thing is that she's treading through her loss and finding solace with helping kids :)
ReplyDeletethanks for hopping on my blog. hope to see you more around ! ;)

Hi rona, I'm not a fan of many Pinoy artists because honestly I believe that they are over-rated. But thank you for sharing this about her. Artists are also people, with feelings, emotions -- they feel joy, sadness, triumphs, defeats. And despite being in the 'lime-light' -- many still can afford to be nice, to be caring. Just like Camille, and I'm sure many more others. Take care!
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, thanks for visiting my blog. It's my brother who does the blogwalking, so I'm sure he's the one who found your blog. LOL!

its really nice to know that there are the likes of her in showbiz. Im not a fan, but knowing that she's for real and she's blogging about it makes me think "hmmm... me artista rin palang di lang puro kaartehan at puro pagapaganda" :)
ReplyDeleteHello everyone! Thanks for sharing your thoughts about Camille.
ReplyDelete@Artemious: Totoo ka jan. May mga artista pa palang di lang puro kaartehan. Haha. Gusto ko yang sinabi mo.
Hi rona, I was able to read her interview in a magazine that an acquaintance left in our apartment. Camille's story touched me. Anyway, take care!
